About the job:

Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. The Air Command and Control (AirC2) Business Area is tasked to build and support NATO’s AirC2 and BMD capabilities.  This requires the support of a team of high performance technical experts to advise on and perform the required technical work to develop and maintain those capabilities. 

The Engineering Functional Group ensures AirC2 capabilities are developed in line with NATO policies, maintaining coherence and interoperability across systems. Building coherent, interconnected, interoperable and supportable AirC2 and BMD capabilities requires extensive coordination on technical matters across a wide set of product teams, architects and other stakeholders. We are recruiting for a Technical Coordination Support Officer to be responsible to support technical experts in the organization, management and follow-through of this technical coordination.   The incumbent ensures proper planning, coordination and execution, and tracking of technical coordination activities for the functional group and ensures to effectively build strong working relationships across functional and service areas. Your role will include the following duties:

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

  •  A minimum requirement of a Bachelor's degree at a nationally recognized/certified University in a related discipline and 2-years post-related experience. Or, exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate's particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCIA, that is, at least 6-years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post. 
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience, preferably in the delivery and implementation of management support mechanisms or other professional-level activities. 
  • Proven ability to multi-task, manage time, deliver on responsibilities and work effectively under pressure while producing high-quality products, at times, under short deadlines. 
  • Experience in presenting complicated issues in a clear, concise and persuasive manner. 
  • Proven experience in drafting and editing policies, reports, and briefs. 
  • Proven recent experience working effectively in a support and coordination role, as well as stakeholder engagement within a technical organization.
  • Basic domain knowledge in relation to Command and Control of Air Operations;
  • Strong experience in planning and organizing technical meetings in the domain of C4ISR systems;
