About the job:

 

Based in Brussels, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour.

 

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Agency Protective Security Officer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

 

  • Lead and manage the execution of protective security programmes and infrastructure projects across NCIA locations;
  • Oversee security investigations, compliance audits, and personnel reliability programmes;
  • Advise senior management on protective security risks and requirements for operations and projects;
  • Coordinate and liaise with NATO HQ, national agencies, and host nation law enforcement on security-related matters;
  • Deliver security education, training, and awareness programmes for Agency personnel;
  • Supervise and guide security staff, ensuring high performance and adherence to standards.

About you:

 

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

 

  • Master’s degree (or Level 7 equivalent) in a relevant discipline with 5 years’ experience, or Bachelor’s (Level 6) with 8 years’ related experience;
  • Proven experience managing protective security programmes and systems (physical, personnel, industrial, CI, education, travel risk);
  • Strong leadership abilities and experience managing multidisciplinary security teams.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including briefing and reporting;
  • Membership in professional security bodies and recognized credentials (e.g., ASIS CPP/PSP, ISMI CSMP) preferred;
  • Prior military/defence or international environment experience, including management of armed personnel, considered an asset;
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
