OVERVIEW OF DIANA 

The Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA) is NATO’s newest body. From across the Alliance, DIANA will bring together innovators and operational end users to foster a transatlantic ecosystem supporting dual-use ground-breaking innovation in deep technologies.   

DIANA is an independent NATO body comprised of an Allied Board of Directors and an executive management team - the DIANA Executive (DX). Operating out of regional offices in Europe and in North America, the DX will conduct DIANA’s mission: accelerating deep tech, dual-use solutions to critical transatlantic challenges in defence and security. The DX will use Challenge Programmes in line with a published Strategic Direction, as the primary vehicle to accomplish this mission. ABOUT THE ROLES:

DIANA (Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic) is looking for technical experts to support in the building of DIANA OS, a secure, cloud-native digital ecosystem designed to support dual-use innovation across NATO. DIANA OS is our secure platform for engaging innovators, governments, and the defence enterprise across the NATO alliance. You will work at the intersection of technology, policy, and business development — helping to shape digital tools that accelerate dual-use innovation across NATO and its partners. 
These are temporary contracts of 6 months (renewable). This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to impactful projects with the flexibility of short-term engagements. 

 

Key Responsibilities

We are looking to fill the following temporary roles: 

Product Manager: 

This role defines and drives the product vision for DIANA OS and acts as the bridge between technical teams, end-users, leadership and external stakeholders by gathering requirements and translating these into actionable epics, features and user stories.  

Backend Developers: 

These roles drive architecture, development, and delivery of our backend infrastructure and services.   

UI/UX Developers: 

These roles develop highly responsive, visually impactful user interfaces across web and mobile.  

HubSpot Experts: 

These roles will be responsible for the maintenance of existing and the delivery of new HubSpot configurations. 

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical discipline
  • Minimum of 2 years of work experience in the job-relevant field (Junior roles) / Minimum of 5 years work experience in the job-relevant field (senior roles)
  • Technical skills relevant for the respective role (i.e. programming languages C# and/or Rust, UI/UX design knowledge, HubSpot experience, etc.) 
  • Experience in working within a cross-functional and distributed team 
  • (agile) project management experience 
  • Highly organized, proactive, and able to communicate effectively with different stakeholders 
Desirable Qualifications
  • Previous work experience in strongly regulated environments (e.g. government, space, defence, public sector, critical infrastructure, aviation, or similar) 
  • Previous work experience in start-up/innovation/incubation environment m integration, API development, Artificial Intelligence, or open-source software development.
