About the job:
Based in Brussels, Belgium you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Brussels, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the NATO Headquarters and International and Military Staff. CSU Brussels enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Technician (Digital Infrastructure) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
• Maintain configurations used on workstations, thin clients and laptop devices including third party applications.
• Provides Level 1 support for above systems and applications.
• Provisions/installs, configures and maintains infrastructure services and components.
• Monitors, measures and reports on infrastructure load, performance and security events.
• Provides Level 1 & 2 support to users and computers within the Microsoft cloud (365) based environment which includes, Active Directory services, Intune and Azure.
• Provides IPTV support and meeting room presentation devices technical support;
• Performs regular high-performance, scalable backups and restores on a schedule and tracks offsite storage.
• Implements documented configurations for allocation of storage, installation and maintenance of secure storage systems using the agreed operational procedures.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
• Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or, a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience.
• Very good knowledge and experience with operation and maintenance of modern advanced heterogeneous and virtualized ICT technology.
• At least 2 years practical experience in the designing, implementing, and managing the underlying technology, software and hardware components that ensure the smooth functioning of servers, storage systems, data centers, and cloud services.
• Good knowledge and practical work experience with the Microsoft cloud based environment to include the Fundamentals, Active Directory services, Intune and Azure.
• Broad knowledge of IT administration tools used in ICT Service Management (e.g. BMC Remedy, SCCM, CITRIX).
• Knowledgeable in recent and current Windows operating systems and common Windows desktop applications, such as MS Office and Adobe.
• Very good knowledge and by preference practical work experience of current versions of Microsoft Windows operating systems in a large scale LAN-based client-server environment using Active Directory Services.
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
