About the job:

Based in Ramstein, Germany you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Ramstein, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the Allied Air Command (AIRCOM.) CSU Ramstein enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Technician (Air Application Systems) who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

•    Install, operate and maintain all associated Air Application System (AAS) hardware, software, databases and applications; 
•    Actively monitor the service management system and react to incidents, change requests and tasks to ensure swift resolution;  
•    Implement the appropriate change control procedures for AAS and investigate system disruptions / faults concerning the installation and functionality of AAS hardware and/or software; 
•    Document all design and configuration changes for assigned AAS applications;
•    Support IT Service Continuity Management (ITSCM) as well as Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Plans;
•    Participate in a 24/7 shift work schedule to support various AIRCOM missions, as required.

Please note that we are looking to fill two Senior Technician (Air Application Systems) roles. 

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

•    Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 2 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 4 years post-related experience.
•    Experience within the area of Systems Administration of complex computer systems;
•    Knowledge of AirC2 systems;
•    At least 2 years’ experience (in the last 5 years) within an IT and communication systems support position; 
•    Knowledge of various operating systems (Microsoft Windows Server, Linux, Oracle Solaris);
•    Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
