About the job:

Based in The Hague, Netherlands you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join The Command and Control Centre (C2C) which is responsible for planning and executing all lifecycle management activities (design, transition and operations) for Joint/Maritime/Land C2 services (including: subject matter expertise; research and development; software engineering; acquisition; operations and maintenance and disposal) in the following C2 Community of Interest (COI) technical service areas: Land, Maritime, Joint, Special Operations, Logistics, Medical, Military Engineering, Military Messaging, Nuclear, CBRN, Military Messaging, Situational Awareness, Operations Planning and Collective Training and Exercise Support (CTX).

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Senior Software Engineer who will take on the likes of the following duties and responsibilities:

• Methods and tools
• Systems design
• Software design
• Programming/software development

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

• A minimum requirement of a Bachelor’s degree at a nationally recognised/certified University in a related discipline and 3 years post-related experience. Or exceptionally, the lack of a university degree may be compensated by the demonstration of a candidate’s particular abilities or experience that is/are of interest to NCI Agency, that is, at least 10 years extensive and progressive expertise in duties related to the function of the post. 

We are looking for an innovative Senior Software Engineer to lead and guide technical teams, providing mentorship, code reviews, and technical direction to junior engineers as well as demonstrable experience in the likes of;        

• Software Application Development (Desktop applications, Web applications frontend/backend):
• Network Communication: Strong understanding of networking principles and protocols, including TCP/IP, sockets, and network security;
• Virtualization and containerisation technology;
• Automation, scripting (i.e., PowerShell);
• Operating Systems (Windows, Unix, Linux);
• Databases for querying and analysing data integrations;
• Security and Operations (DevSecOps) processes and toolchain;
• Fluency in English, both written and spoken:
