About the job:

Based in Bydgoszcz, Poland you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join CSU Bydgoszcz, which is the leading provider of Communications and Information System (CIS) products and services to locally based NATO entities such as the Joint Force Training Center (JFTC). CSU Bydgoszcz enables end-to-end CIS services and manages critical technological capabilities during peacetime, crisis and war.

We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic IT System Administrator who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:

•    Lead technician responsible for the system administration of the hardware and software of all assigned systems and services to include (but not limited to) servers operating systems, virtualization platform, networking layer, antivirus capability, print and file servers, clusters and SAN;
•    Responsible for problem analysis, troubleshooting and solutions testing for all datacenter hardware and software elements; 
•    Evaluates technical requirements for future projects and analyses technological trends affecting both the hardware and software layer of assigned services; 
•    Collects and analyses performance metrics and proposes possible Service Improvement Plans;
•    Responsible for supporting development and execution of Disaster Recovery/Business Continuity Plans;

About you:

The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:

•    Higher vocational training in a relevant discipline with 3 years post-related experience. Or a secondary educational qualification with 5 years post-related experience;
•    In-depth knowledge in engineering and maintenance of communications and information systems including training and practical experience. 
•    Subject Matter Expertise in the area of IT operating systems, networking and virtualization;
•    In-depth knowledge in Virtual Desktop Infrastructure technologies and their administration and implementation;
•    Extensive experience in IT troubleshooting, problem management and CIS implementations in a technical environment;
•    Fluency in English, both written and spoken
