About the job:
Based in Brussels, you will join the Agency as we embark on a journey to transform our IT services to support NATO’s Digital Endeavour. You will join The Office of the Chief of Acquisition provides the full range of acquisition expertise and activities which support the planning, implementation and maintenance of the required capability to support the Agency’s strategic goals and missions.
We are looking for a driven and enthusiastic Executive Officer who will take on the following roles and responsibilities:
· Providing strategic support directly to the Chief of Acquisition. Build, maintain and strengthen relations with internal and external stakeholders (including industry and academia) to mobilize resources and commitments in support of Acquisition’s strategic priorities.
· Providing Acquisition and Agency coordination activities to ensure that guidance and tasks from the COA are synchronised and achieved on time and are in line with the Executive intent.
· Under direct accountability to the COA, for the overall conduct, management and execution of the Acquisition’s front office. These duties include direct supervision of front office staff, alignment and integration of all liaison efforts across NATO, and constant coordination with Agency leadership to ensure that the COA is prepared for all meetings, presentations, travel, visits and Agency decisions.
· Supporting the COA through executive support, executive coordination, NATO liaison coordination, strategic communications and partnership functions.
· Drafting correspondence and briefs for the COA that best represent Acquisition and the Agency’s strategic position leveraging innovative and transformational ideas where best suited.

About you:
The valuable knowledge and experience that you bring to this role are:
· Minimum of 5 years experience in a leadership role within a large international or governmental organization or military.
· Extensive experience managing workflows and following/developing policies and procedures.
· Extensive experience in leading cross-functional teams, preferably in an international environment.
· Proven ability to multi-task, deliver on responsibilities and work effectively under pressure while producing high-quality products under short-notice deadlines.
· Experience in contributing to or leading teams engaged in transformational projects.
· The ability to analyze data and develop recommendations based on empirical data and the underlying strategic objectives of an organization.
· A demonstrable understanding of business management, acquisition, processes, systems, and internal controls.
· Experience working in a NATO organization or another organization comprising both military and civilian personnel will be an asset.
· Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
